The Urban Co-operative Bank Limited, Cuttack started functioning on 14th September, 1981 with its Head Office at Tinikonia Bagicha, Buxi Bazar, Cuttack-753001 after being registered under Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Orissa, Bhubaneswar vide Registration No. 20CU/CTCL/l.l.1981. This Bank initially started with share capital of Rs.2,33,OOO.OO collected from 772 Members and was having status of the largest urban cooperative bank of the state as well as of the eastern region for decades. Since inception, it. has been functioning with an aim for providing financial assistance to the urban poor for their upliftment through its micro finance activities. It has expanded its business through its sixteen branches and two extension counters spread over urban & Semi urban areas of revenue district of Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur & Jajpur district except Paradeep Town & Paradeep port. The Bank is now running with working capital of Rs. 454.67 Crore, deposit of Rs.378.31 Crore and loans & advances of Rs. 167.68 Crore. The total membership is around 57408 No’s and share capital is about Rs. 16.25 Crore as on 31.03.2023.
